How to play

So you want to play Everyday Puzzles, but you have questions about how to play? Don't worry, we'll explain everything to you!

On the main screen, you can choose between several game modes: Traditional, Mini, Cladder, Hashtag, Tangle, Word Search, Sudoku, Anygram, Password, Connected, Secret Word and Cryptogram.

Crosswords (Traditional and Mini)

An empty crossword appears on the screen. Your goal is to find the correct answers to the clues displayed just above the keyboard. The Traditional version is larger, while the Mini version has a smaller board.

If you don't know the answer to the current clue, you can use the side arrows to navigate between the clues. By clicking on the clue, you can switch between horizontal and vertical orientation.

To complete a level, you need to correctly fill in all the words. If you need help, you can use the available hints!

Cladder

You have a few seconds to answer 10 clues, changing just one letter of the previous word to form a new valid word.

  • You are not penalized for wrong answers.
  • You can skip as many words as you want, but each skip costs coins.

Hashtag

Your goal is to arrange the letters to form 4 correct words.

  • Drag a letter over another to swap their position.
  • Green letters are in the correct position.
  • Yellow letters belong to the word, but are in the wrong place.
  • You have 12 swaps to solve the challenge!

Tangle

Create a sequence of words by changing a single letter at a time until you reach the final word.

Example: MADE → FADE → FARE → DARE → DART.

  • You can delete words or start the trail over if necessary.
  • There is a suggested path for each game. Try to solve it in as few moves as possible!

Password

Discover the secret word of the day in up to 6 attempts.

  • The green letters are in the correct position.
  • The yellow letters belong to the word, but they are in the wrong place.
  • The gray letters are not part of the word.
  • Watch out for repeated letters, as not all of them will be highlighted.

Word Search

Find all the words listed at the bottom of the screen.

  • To highlight a word, drag your finger over the letters in the grid.
  • Words can be horizontally, vertically, diagonally, and even backwards.
  • If you need help, use the hint to highlight the first letter of a word.

Sudoku

Fill the entire grid with numbers from 1 to 9, following these rules:

  • Numbers cannot be repeated in the same row, column, or 3x3 block.
  • Repeated numbers will be highlighted for correction.
  • You can use the sketch mode to mark provisional numbers.
  • The hint reveals the correct number for the selected position.

Anygram

Make as many words as possible with the available letters.

  • Connect the letters to form words.
  • Extra words not present on the board count as a coin bonus!

Connected

Form 4 groups of 4 words with something in common.

  • Select the words and click Submit to validate.
  • If you get it right, the group will be highlighted with the corresponding theme.
  • You have a limited number of mistakes, so choose carefully!

Secret Word

Guess the secret word within the suggested category.

  • The alphabetical scale indicates how close you are to the answer:
    • Red: The word is far from the correct answer.
    • Orange: Far from the correct word.
    • Green: Close to the correct word.
    • Light Green: This is the correct answer!

  • As you try to guess, you will see numbers and arrows:
    • Numbers: These indicate how far your guess is from the secret word in the alphabet. The number 0 means the word is correct.

  • Arrows: These help you understand the direction of the guess:
    • Up arrow: The word is "before" the secret word in the alphabet.
    • Down arrow: The word is "after" the secret word in the alphabet.

Cryptogram

Decipher the message by replacing numbers with letters.

  • Each number represents a single letter, and all occurrences of the same number correspond to the same letter.
  • If Auto-check is off, when you enter a letter, the other spaces with the same number will not be automatically filled.
  • If Auto-check is on, when you enter a letter, all other spaces with the same number will be filled.
  • Note: The initial letter that appears in the game does not automatically fill in the other spaces, even with Auto-check turned on.
