How does Hard Mode work?
The Hard Mode adds an extra level of challenge to the different game modes in Everyday Puzzles. When you activate this option, some rules change to make the experience more difficult. Check out the specific changes for each mode below:
Anygram
- Words do not cross on the board. You need to find all the words to win.
Word Search
- The words to be found are not revealed at the beginning; only the theme is shown. They are locked with a padlock and only appear as they are discovered.
Tangle
- The number of attempts equals the total number of words in the Suggested Path.
- You must complete a path with the same number of words indicated. If you reach the attempt limit, you will need to restart the challenge.
Cladder
- Solve all the clues before time runs out
- Swap one letter from the word shown to get the answer to the clue
- Tap on the letter you want to swap and find the substitute on your keyboard
- Use the Skip Word option when you don't know an answer
Secret Word
- The number of attempts is reduced to 6.
Connected
- The maximum number of mistakes allowed is reduced to 2.
Mini
- Auto-check is disabled, meaning you won't get automatic confirmation if a word is correct or incorrect.
- If you use a hint, the revealed letter will appear in green (or blue in high-contrast mode).
Crossword
- Auto-check is disabled, just like in the Mini mode.
- No automatic confirmation of correct words, except when using hints.
Hashtag
- No green letters (correct positions) are revealed at the beginning of the game.
- There may be yellow letters (correct but in the wrong position).
- The minimum required swaps increase to 6.
Password
- Valid letters or those existing in the secret word must be used in the next attempts.
- It is not allowed to use letters that have already been discarded as non-existent.
Sudoku
- Fewer numbers are distributed on the board at the beginning of the game, making it more challenging to solve.
Cryptogram
- Some spaces will be locked, preventing the player from knowing which number or letter should be filled in those locations.
Hard Mode is designed for those seeking a greater challenge and wanting to test their skills to the fullest. Good luck!
